Location, Location, Location
Nobody knows* who first said, “Location, Location, Location,” but real estate agents have long known it’s the key to their business. Location can also be important when it comes to internet marketing.
For many types of businesses – from spas and hair salons to restaurants and movie theaters – location can be an important part of any online searches. Local SEO Company Packages, like those offered by SEOJames, an affordable SEO company based in beautiful Boca Raton, Florida, are specifically designed to provide businesses with a strong local web preference.
As smartphones and tablets continue to play an ever larger role in our lives, location becomes even more of a factor in online searches. In fact, mobile searches now account for 55 percent of internet traffic.
Local SEO takes our mobility and our mobile devices into account so that search results will be relevant, whether a couple of friends are looking for the closest place to share a pizza, a mom is looking for a pediatrician close to home or a family on vacation is looking for rainy day activities.
When you partner with an experienced SEO company, like the one headed by James McCauley, you can be sure that your web content is compliant with all the relevant Google guidelines. Local SEO marketing means your listing will be there when people are looking for businesses like yours on Google Maps as well as Google Search. It’s a highly effective way to increase traffic to your website.
When asked by Search Engine Journal’s Danny Goodwin about SEO trends in 2017, Duane Forrester Vice President, Organic Search Operations, Bruce Clay Inc., said, “From couponing, to commerce, from coffee to clothes, consumers will expect better location data for everything they want. Would consumers care if a local business could deliver the same product as Amazon for the same price at the same time? Many would choose to support local, thus putting pressure on Amazon to raise the value of its programs like Prime.”

*William Safire, a speechwriter for President Richard Nixon, a Pulitzer Prize-winning political columnist for The New York Times and an “oracle on language,” looked into the roots of the phrase in 2009, not long before his death from pancreatic cancer. Some credited a British real estate tycoon named Lord Harold Samuel as the originator of the creed. That claim was disproved by the editor of the “Yale Book of Quotations,” who found the phrase in a real estate ad that ran in the Chicago Tribune in 1926. At that time, Lord Samuel would have been 14 years old. When Safire looked into it, he said the context of the 1926 ad suggests it was already a familiar phrase in Chicago, so the mystery as to who coined the oft-repeated phrase continues.
